The vedas, the holy text of ancient India, describes Soma-Vali more than 100 times, along with numerous rituals with Soma and other practices. Somavalli is a legendary plant that existed in the golden age of earth which excels all other plants in nutrition and flavor. Millennia ago it grew in a few specific areas such as mt. Mujavat. By pressing the juice from the stalk one could make a beverage called soma or amrita which the gods copiously drank to become powerful and invincible. The plant blossomed and withered with the waxing and waning moon. Before it existed on earth, it was in high heavens highly protected.
